Home » Fashion » How To Style the White Cami

Over the past 4 seasons, the Chiffon Cami has flooded the high street. You can pick up these gorgeous floaty tops anywhere at the moment. So today’s post will show you how I style the basic white Cami that is now a complete style staple in my wardrobe, hopefully inspiring you with a few ideas to update your style.

White Cami from New Look

This is the Item I will be working with today. It’s a bright white V Neck Chiffon Long Line Cami from New Look which unfortunately is no longer stocked in this colour, but they have a huge variety for pastel colours in this style for the new season at a bargain price of £9.99 before student discount.

Outfit #1: Monochrome Comfort

Cardigan from New Look, Riding Pants from Topshop

This is my current favourite outfit to wear at the moment as it’s so snug in this horrible weather!! I tuck the cami into my Topshop Riding Pants (AA Dupes) which are incredibly comfy. Over the top I wear this Black Eyelash Cardigan from New Look which is the best purchase of the season so far-it’s the warmest thing I own! I wear little heeled black boots and a silver necklace to tie this all in together. What is particularly great about this is the blending of texture-with ribbed, chiffon and fluffy, creating an individual take on Cami styling.

Outfit #2:  Floral Casual

Floral Kimono from Primark, Blue Joni Jeans from Topshop

Coming into the Spring season, this will be a great ‘put together’ outfit for Uni or a casual drinks night. My Joni Jeans are easily my most worn pair. They are super high waisted and are incredibly flattering. I’d tuck the front of the Cami into the front of the jeans to further emphasise the waist and this gorgeous loose Floral Kimono over the top will really add sophistication. Plain ballet pumps and a structured bag would really finish this outfit off.

Outfit #3: Festival Fun

AA High Waisted Shorts, New Look Belt, Rimmel Lipstick 600 Soft Coral

Now this outfit is definitely more SS14 friendly! I think for the upcoming warm days/festival season this will be a great basic outfit. These high waisted AA shorts look great with or without tights and aren’t tight on the legs at all. I’ve paired it with a big black leather belt and some Vans would look great for a casual date. I’ve included Rimmel Lipstick in 600 Soft Coral, as this is a very pretty summery colour and looks particularly good on brunettes.

Outfit #4: Evening Elegance

Skater Skirt from New Look, Leather Jacket from Topshop

This outfit is definitely slightly smarter than the rest. The white Cami again would be tucked into this Waffle Print Skater Skirt from New Look with this Topshop Quilted Jacket. With a red lip, heeled boots and a good up-do, you’re ready to rock your monochrome. This could be worn with or without tights, depending how cold/brave you are!

The Basic Cami is so versatile, and can be dressed up or down. If you’re looking for a key basic, make this your SS14 choice, trust me-you won’t regret it!!

Which style would you wear?
