I love to spend an evening online shopping, and scrolling through EVERYTHING shops have to offer. I’m addicted! Never normally do I go for New Look but recently their new collections have been wow-ing me completely! AW13 captured me and now the SS14 collection has surpassed my expections. Cheap prices plus Student Discount has reinstated New Look as a firm favourite.
Above are some of my favourites from the collection. There is a real theme of reborn monochrome which I love.
The gingham skirt (bottom right) is particularly on trend and would look lovely with the Baby Pink Crepe Blazer (top left) for a sophisticated 90’s look.
I would pair the Polka dot black shirt (bottom left) with the high waisted acid wash ‘Mom’ style jeans (3rd left) for a relaxed day look, suitable for a uni day. I would definitely pair this with a pink lip- a major SS14 beauty trend. The floral boxy crop top (2nd right) would also look great with the jeans. The two together would create the perfect “put together” look with some cute stone kitten heels.
Daisies are everywhere this SS14 and this skater dress (top right) is a very flattering cut, especially on a pear or hourglass figure. Throw on Converse and a leather jacket and you are good to go.
Structured dresses are so classic, paired with monochrome means you really can’t go wrong. This offering (2nd left) is great at price, quality and stye. A statement necklace and some cobalt flats would really complete this in a professional environment.
Finally, the floral playsuit (3rd right) fits perfectly with the underwear as outerwear trend. This lace trim will flatter any leg shape, along with a very sophisticated pattern. A leather jacket will keep you warm in this chilly spell and also contrast the silky texture perfectly. For any dinner date or night out, this is your perfect playsuit.
