Sunday night saw London take their turn in the awards season line up. The British Academy Film and Television Awards were held in the Royal Opera House, with Stephen Fry taking his usual position as the evenings host. The stars came out from all over, with all the best from Tinstletown. Luckily the wind had died down as all this years nominees and presenters graced the red carpet. Maggie Gyllenhaal comes in at number 10. Her navy lace Lanvin gown, has beautiful embellishment detailing. Maggie’s simple make-up choice compliment the gown perfectly, but the full skirt and high neck, swamps the 36-year-old actress.

Fearne Cotton dazzled in a gorgeous gold William Vintage gown. However the high neck line, long sleeves and full length combination of it all, make poor Fearne look as if she’s suffocating. So she comes in at number 9.

Naomie Harris looked every part the Bond Girl in this daring, hot pink, Gucci number. The thigh high split showed off the actress’ gorgeous pins, not to mention that daring deep V cut. The stars simple accessories complete this look. Naomie falls in at number 8.
7. Samantha Barks

Samantha Barks in Calvin Klein
British beauty Samantha Barks, look every part the English Rose in this peach Calvin Klein gown. The strapless dress showed off Barks’ svelte figure, while the gorgeous simplicity of that pearl necklace work perfectly. Samantha slots in at number 7.
6. Uma Thurman

Uma Thurman in Atelier Versace
In at number 6 is Uma Thurman. The Kill Bill star looked flawless in this gorgeous Atelier Versace strapless gown. Uma’s simple diamond accessories complete this sexy sophisticated look. Good choice Uma.
5. Hellen Mirren

Helen Mirren takes fabulous number 5. Helen is the definition of a gorgeous granny. The actress looks glamorous in the black floor length, feather and embellished gown.
4. Cate Blanchett

Cate Blanchett in Alexander McQueen
Cate Blanchett looked stunning in this satin Alexander McQueen dress. The lovely metallic floral pattens are complemented nicely by Blanchett’s bird necklace. This body hugging number gets the thumbs up at number 4.
3. Amy Adams

Amy Adams in Victoria Beckham
Coming in at 3rd place is Amy Adams. The nominee looked every bit old Hollywood glamour, in none other than our very own Victoria Beckham. Amy’s sleek hair and sophisticated red lipstick complete this look.
2. Angelina Jolie

Angelina Jolie in Yves Saint Laurent
Coming in at 2nd place is Angelina Jolie. Angelina broke every award season rule and went with the androgynous look in a sleek black two-piece Yves Saint Laurent suit. Finished off with patent black stilettos and an open tie, the star looks fabulously feminine.

Lupita Nyong’o in Christian Dior Haute Couture
New girl Lupita Nyong’o strikes again. The ’12 Years A Slave’ actress is sure to make every one green with envy in this gorgeous Christian Dior Haute couture gown. That beautiful side train works well with Lupita’s gold waist belt and cuffs. All hail new fashionista Lupita.
