The Creative Council Collection from UGG Australia provides some great footwear from classic ‘UGG Boots’ to wedges, there’s something for everybody. We especially liked this pair of cream high tops.
The Cayha Woven High Tops manage to marry the retro swag of high tops with a modern chic appeal through the elegant use of the woven pattern. With the classic appeal of the high tops in mind we decided to style a 90s hip hop themed outfit around the trainers.
The bomber jacket and boyfriend jeans gave it that tom boy flavour that was a huge part of 90s hip hop fashion for women. Adding to that we thought nothing screams 90s louder than a quirky MTV print crop top featuring a caricature with a high top fade. To complete the look we needed bold accessories that feminised the look and grabbed attention. Gold was a big thing in 90s urban fashion with the likes of Queen Latifah sporting big statement earrings and necklaces like the ones we opted for.

I love being creative with the way I style my outfits and finding a great pair of statement shoes that are versatile is always a bonus. These UGG Australia trainers are an absolute godsend; not only are they gorgeous but they are unbelievably comfortable with their fur lined interior. The off-cream colour is the perfect neutral tone to go with pretty much every outfit and to really test how far I could push them I decided to create a very urban look; pairing them with a graphic tee, distressed jeans and a bomber jacket. The perfect footwear for all year round, especially the transition from colder to warmer months.
Malika opted to wear them laced up to accompany the old school vibe we were going for, but they’d also look just as great with the laces hidden. Like she said, these are a versatile pair of shoes that are flexible to accompany your style whatever that may be, from skater to street to chic.
