With the summer holiday season well underway, the shops are currently heaving with the hottest prints and styles for SS14. I will be jetting off to the south of France in a few weeks, and, as I am completely and utterly guilty of using any excuse for a bit of a shopping spree, I am already beginning to plan the arrangement of my holiday wardrobe. Are you need of some summer holiday suitcase filler inspo?  Here are some summer holiday pieces which I am totally and utterly lusting over.

Hawaiian Bobble Trim Shorts – Boohoo

I am absolutely loving tropical print for SS14. It’s just so exotic and energetic and sure to make a statement as we witness bright colours co-ordinate so well with bold prints. The array of colours in these shorts are so beautiful and just whisk you away to a tropical paradise island. What’s more with these shorts I love love love the pompom trim and how it adds texture and an adorable detail them.

Crochet Trim Playsuit – Missguided

Intricate crochet detail gives any outfit that boho boost and it definitely does wonders to this playsuit! It adds that vintage twist and uplifts any plain garment. This crochet detail is one of delicacy, harmonising with the element of elegance that the chiffon material brings to this playsuit, also giving it a cool laid back feel. For and evening out, I would team this with a pair of strappy sandals and perhaps a floral kimono.

Tropical Skort – New Look

Skorts really are an absolute favourite of mine this summer, and I’m loving this tropical printed one. The bold print creates a strong statement and I love how the odd pink flowers break up the otherwise monochrome pattern, creating the artlike image of a colouring in. I would style this with a black bralette and kimono in order to get that beach day look.

Jelly Shoes – Boohoo

Probably one of the most controversial trends this year, the jelly shoes are either loved or loathed. Honestly, I can’t get enough of mine. I wear them on a daily basis and they are perfect for a day at the beach – you can even wear them in the sea! This lilac pair are adorably cute and would go with pretty much anything.

Crochet Trim Cami – Miss Selfridge

Plain camis like these are great for teaming with brilliantly patterned shorts and skirts, but what I love in particular about this one is the crochet trim hem as it adds an element of vintage detail. The cropped style makes it great for teaming with high waisted bottoms, whilst the plain white colour means that it can be teamed with absolutely any other colour or print!

Floral Kimono – Pretty Little Thing

Florals and lace are my two favourite summer trends, so it’s not really a shocker that I’ve included this kimono! Kimonos are a really handy item of clothing in the way that you can use them as a cover up on the beach, casual day wear or an elegant, evening jacket replacement. I love how the scalloped style laced hems add a classy element of sophistication, whilst the floral print uses few colours in order to create a focus on the beautiful print.

What’s on your summer holiday wishlist this year? How would you style these items?
