One of the biggest trends this season is the Pastel Knit. They are everywhere! They make the perfect transitional piece from Winter to Spring, as well as providing an alternative to the drab greys and blacks which normally cloak the high street during the winter months. I think they are a fantastic way to work colour back into your wardrobe this SS14 without breaking the bank!

1. This gorgeous pink fluffy knit is from New Look and at only £14.99 this is absolute steal! Pale pink will look great with blue jeans and Chelsea boots, or if you want to smarten it up, add a statement necklace and a skirt!
2. Topshop never fail when it comes to knitwear. The neckline on this is very flattering on the collar bones, and the duck egg colouring would look great on darker skin tones/darker hair. Paired over leather trousers and a smart coat, this would be an incredibly sophisticated outfit that would keep you warm.
3.This colour really caught my eye on the Topshop website. Apple green is not often seen, but this fits right into the pastel trend. The great thing about green is it looks fantastic whatever your hair colour. The quality of the Topshop cable knits are always fantastic and wash really will. This is guaranteed to keep you on trend.
4. This ASOS waffle knit is also one to keep you warm. The lilac colour is very flattering as well as perfect for this season, and I think the heavier style of knit clashes well with the softness of the colour, making it easier to grunge up. I think this would look great with black acid wash jeans and a heeled boot for a casual day outfit.
5. I was surprised to find this number on Boohoo for only £15! This cut is very sexy, and allows you to show the skin without being cold. The waffle style of knit is great for retaining heat but I think this is one of the best offerings from the high street this season for pastel knits. On the website they have a variety of pastel colours in this fantastic cut and would look great with leggings this season.
Knitwear is necessary in the colder months, but renovate your wardrobe with some of these suggestions. Remember this week, both New Look and ASOS are doing 20% student discount so grab a bargain while you can!!
