Home » Shopping » Hot Trends: Off The Shoulder

The off the shoulder trend is big for A/W 14 and it’s perfect for the summer season too, if you are going to a festival or on holiday or just a walk in the park, this look gives you the perfect boohoo vibe.

I’ve scoured the high street for the best of the off the shoulder looks, taking you from summer to autumn whilst keeping that student budget in mind.

Not the most student friendly shop in terms of price however, students do get a 10% discount and you just can’t help but love everything in store.

This monochrome Bardot top would look great with a midi skirt and sandals for summer and then for the transition into autumn a pair of black jeans and kimono/light jacket would give the look a cool vibe whilst still keeping warm.

Another way to style this look is with an off the shoulder dress. This plain black one from Topshop gives you lots of scope for you to style and accessorise the look. Think big floppy hat, big sunglasses and lots of necklace layering for the ultimate summer chick. Then just simply add a leather jacket for the colder months.

New Look

Oh New Look the student friendly store that offers student discount as well as low cost prices. This flowery off the shoulder top is a great summer staple as it is so easy to wear. Paired with denim jeans or a floaty skirt you can choose whether to dress up or keep it casual with this top.

This top is a little bit more casual than some of the other items however it should be a staple in everyones wardrobe. The plain grey colour makes it easy to wear with any colour jeans – especially white for summer. Sometimes jeans and a t-shirt is just the ultimate classic style that looks good without any effort.

One for all the online shoppers out there Boohoo loves to incorporate the different trends on a student friendly budget. They’ve currently got a major sale on so you might want to get looking before they start selling out. This dress is in the sale for only £10! This white dress would be a great addition to a summer wardrobe and it would be even more perfect for festival season. You wouldn’t really have to style this up too much as you could just let the dress do the talking however, pair it with a pair of flat sandals, a few layered necklaces and a flowery headband and you are the epitome of summer chick.  This dress is probably a little harder to take through to the colder months however a pair of boots and a denim jacket would take you through to the beginning of autumn.

So how do you take this style through to evening wear? Well this fuscia pink jumpsuit from Boohoo is the perfect piece to do this. Paired with some sky high heels and a gold clutch this is right on trend for the summer months and would look just as good during a night out when it gets colder – plus it covers your legs which is great for when it gets a little bit nippier outside. If you don’t fancy the bright bold pink colour then Boohoo also do it in black which again a black jumpsuit will always have room in the wardrobe.
