Part Two of my French Connection review. Read the first part here.
Part Two is my review of the Anna Lace dress. The dress comes in three colours- ultra blue, strawberry and this bluish green colour, lake. I was very, very tempted by the strawberry colour, but I was talked into going for the turquoise one. I’m really glad I did. The dress is such a bright, striking colour and so different from anything else I own. However, it is a bit of a challenge- I don’t really know what goes with this shade of green!!
The material is gorgeous, thick and so heavy. It is perfectly lined in the body, but the sleeves are not lined (you can definitely see my red bra in these pictures- oops!!). It’s a gorgeous shaped dress, but I decided to belt it for extra definition. Like the midi skirt in my last post, I would also go a size smaller in this. I got a size 10, which I usually am, but I think an 8 would have been a better fit.
I kept it simple with teal shoes and a teal belt, but here are two other ways I would wear the dress…
This is a kind of work experience/job interview outfit, which is formal but still a little bit fresh and fun. A perfect black blazer is perfect for autumn and I love these boots.
This is much more of a girly, fun outfit pairing the turquoise dress with pink accessories, which I think go really well together. This is a great outfit for a date or cocktails with the girls.
