Los Angeles’ Dolby Theatre took Hollywood’s most successful stars and contributors in for one special night. Sunday night, Ellen DeGeneres hosted the most watched Academy Awards show in 10 years. With Brangelina, Leonardo DiCaprio, Jennifer Lawrence, Julia Roberts and Martin Scorsese all in attendance it was no surprise really. This year’s red carpet saw almost every star come out triumphant in the fashion stakes, with even the men stepping it up a notch.

Jennifer Lawrence in Christian Dior Couture
As if there weren’t enough reasons to love Jennifer Lawrence already, this stunning Christian Dior Couture strapless gown makes me fall for her even more. The beautiful bright red colour and that cute semi-peplum compliment her figure and skin tone beautifully. Her simple hair and make-up, and that stunning $2 million Neil Lane necklace, send J-Law straight into my best dressed list.
Amy Adams in Gucci
Similar to J-Law, Amy Adams goes for a simple Gucci strapless gown. The deep blue shade looks lovely teamed with those Tiffany earrings. The shape of this gown shows off Amy’s svelte figure and that beautiful fold over around the bust really finishes off the gown.
Lupita Nyong’o in Prada
Lupita Nyong’o can do no wrong in my eyes. Throughout the entire award season Lupita has nailed it every time and Sunday she did not dissapoint. This gorgeous Prada gown flows perfectly with that gorgeous pleat detailing and the subtle flashes of silver in the skirt. Lupita described the colour as ‘Nairobi’ blue on the red carpet, this colour compliments her skin tone perfectly. Not to mention the matching Alice band, I’m running to buy an Alice band right now.
Angelina Jolie in Elie Saab
Angelina Jolie looks angelicly beautiful in this nude embellished gown. Nude was a hot trend on this years red carpet, but Angelina does it perfectly. The star looks happy and healthy in this gorgeous sparkly dress, lets not forget those 42 carat diamond earrings.
Cate Blanchett in Giorgio Armani
Giving Angelina a run for her money, was this years Best Actress winner Cate Blanchett. The star looked stunning in this Giorgio Armani gown. The beading on this dress is absolutely flawless, teamed with those Chopard earrings and her simple hair and make-up. Cate was a winner all round.
Sandra Bullock in Alexander McQueen
Sandra looked beautiful as she channeled old Hollywood glamour in this navy McQueen gown. That gorgeous side sweep of her hair and those jewels take Sandra back to the Golden Age. Not to mention that beautiful cross over train at the front. Simply stunning.
The men did not fail to disappoint. With Jared Leto, Matthew McConaughey and Ryan Seacrest all rocking cream tuxedos.
