The transition to university life is full of wonderful experiences. While in your school, there was a set agenda for the day. But the university environment gives you much flexibility. While planning for the Fresher’s Week, there may be many things on your mind. One of the obvious concerns would be regarding the choice of your apparel. University life does not compulsorily want you to have a particular dress code. And it would be only prompting to try the many types of fashionable and trendy styles available in stores.

Experimenting is unique to student life. You can certainly have your own style of clothes and accessories, loaded with the current style statement. It is good to reveal yourself through your apparel. What you wear is a significant depiction of your own self.

The heels and pointy shoes are usually seen as popular choice. It is also good to opt for hangover clothes. Skinny jeans and T-shirts are the staple look for sculpted figures. As students, having joggers and fresh trainers look is also quite common. There are many Sports brands to help choose the one best suited to you. Some also go for the brand with a vintage twist. The dodgy polo shirts and 90s jackets have always been attractive to the students.

The casual look is always a welcome. It goes equally well for both the boys and girls. You can wear deliberately crumpled shirts and deliberately ripped jeans. To add to the appeal, you may also want to get your hair messy. Another option can be a T-Shirt with things written (your name, interests, etc., on it. Wearing it can explain many things instantly, without much effort.

Many students avail the local markets and charity shops finding the best possible bargain(s). Visit to the market also brings out many interesting options for you. Several universities provide publications on Fresher’s Week schedules. Getting to know what is going to happen might give you the correct outfits. Be particular about wearing comfortable footwear. You can keep a good and presentable bag along with (particularly the girls). This will enable you to keep all your belongings, particularly the footwear (if you want to switch to a pair of flats).

Whatever dress code you ‘design’ for yourself, ensure that it is not too loud. Try to be more of yourself than imitating anybody else. You may feel out of fashion. But it shall not be for long. You would soon get along with some like-minded or tuned people to hang out and enjoy their company forever (even after studies). Changing apparel is not difficult but changing the mindset is. You may adopt a particular style because it may be too attractive to ignore. Avoid unnecessary show of your style.

There is fun, excitement and lots of work to be done during the week. Considering the style factor, choose the outfits which can be comfortable. Take extra care about the footwear because there may be considerable walking around. There may be prolonged waiting hours to keep you standing. Stress more on convenience and comparatively less on style.
